Ash Content of Pellet Fuel in Minutes
With the cost of fuel today you will find that many companies have developed different and less expensive ways to heat homes and businesses.
Wood Pellets are a renewable and clean-burning alternative. There are four grades of wood pellet fuel. They are Super Premium, Premium, Standard
and Utility with the percentage of ash content being the most important constituent separating the grades of the pellets.
The Pellet Fuel Institute has developed standard testing practices for pellets to help provide quality grade pellets to the public.
Ash content is a requirement and to classify your pellets you need ash testing. To perform this test in
your production facility in your quality laboratory our MAX® 5000XL will be the easiest and most efficient way for you to complete
this test. The MAX® 5000XL would not be any more expensive than if you purchased a muffle furnace, purchased a 4 place balance and
installed an exhaust system for the muffle furnace. In addition, the muffle furnace would use many hours of energy just for one test.
*Our MAX® 5000XL will perform ash analysis in approximately 27 to 45 minutes
