The Current Generation
Arizona Instrument LLC ceased manufacturing of the Jerome 411 and 511 in 1992. The most current model in the Jerome® line of mercury vapor analyzers is the Jerome J505. It was released in 2012 and is an ideal replacement to the 411 and 511. It is the only portable mercury vapor analyzer on the market that utilizes atomic fluorescence spectroscopy and is capable of detecting mercury in air from 0.05 µg/m3 to 500 µg/m3.
Other Jerome mercury analyzers currently in production include the Jerome J405 and the Jerome 431-X. Both utilize our industry proven gold-film sensor technology to detect trace amounts of mercury in air. End of Life/Service Information
The Jerome 411 and 511 are no longer being manufactured and are unable to be serviced. Our latest Jerome mercury analyzer is the Jerome J505. It was released in 2012 and is an ideal replacement to the 411 and 511.
The J505 is lightweight (6.5 lbs), portable, durable, and uses advanced atomic fluorescence spectroscopy to detect as little as 0.05 µg/m3 mercury, which meets and exceeds EPA and ATSDR standards for industrial and residential remediation actions as well as OSHA, NIOSH, ACGIH and MSHA action levels. It is capable of displaying results in ng/m3, µg/m3 and mg/m3 and can even be used to detect mercury in water.
The Jerome 411 was manufactured from 1977 until 1992 and was serviced until 2010. It was used to detect trace levels of mercury vapor for mercury exclusion testing, mercury surveys, hazardous waste monitoring and for applied research projects.
The Jerome 511 was manufactured from the late 1970s/early 1980s until 1992 and was serviced until 2010. It was designed as a dedicated lab instrument and provided accurate analysis of mercury in water, wastewater, urine and soil.
