The Current Generation
The Jerome J505 is the most current model in the Jerome® line of mercury vapor analyzers. It was released in 2012 and is an ideal replacement to the 471. It is the only portable mercury vapor analyzer on the market that utilizes atomic fluorescence spectroscopy and is capable of detecting mercury in air from 0.05 µg/m3 to 500 µg/m3. It can even display results in ng/m3.
Other Jerome mercury analyzers currently in production include the Jerome J405 and the Jerome 431-X. Both utilize our industry proven gold-film sensor technology to detect trace amounts of mercury in air. If you have any questions or would like to inquire about one of our current Jerome mercury vapor analyzers, contact us online or give us a call at (800) 528-7411.
End of Life/Service Information
The Jerome 471 is no longer being manufactured and is unable to be serviced due to low availability of components needed for repair. Our newest Jerome mercury analyzer is the Jerome J505. It was released in 2012 and is an ideal replacement to the 471.
The J505 is lightweight (6.5 lbs), portable, durable, and uses advanced atomic fluorescence spectroscopy to detect as little as 0.05 µg/m3 mercury, which meets and exceeds EPA and ATSDR standards for industrial and residential remediation actions as well as OSHA, NIOSH, ACGIH and MSHA action levels. The J505 also does not require regenerations and is capable of displaying results in ng/m3, µg/m3 and mg/m3.
Documents & Downloads
The Jerome 471 was manufactured from 2006 to 2009 and were serviced upon request until 2016. It was used to detect trace levels of mercury vapor for mercury spill response and cleanup, mercury exclusion testing, disposal and recycling of fluorescent lamps and at hazardous waste facilities.
